The journey of honey from collection at farms to dispatch to customers involves several crucial stages. Beekeepers carefully harvest honey from beehives placed in diverse environments, followed by extraction and processing at specialized facilities to remove impurities and ensure quality. After packaging and labeling, stringent quality control measures are implemented to uphold industry standards. Stored in controlled conditions to maintain freshness, honey is then distributed to wholesalers, retailers, and customers through various channels, ensuring its delivery in optimal condition. Throughout this process, attention to detail and adherence to ethical practices guarantee that consumers receive honey that is not only delicious but also responsibly sourced and of the highest quality
We harvest honey from our own apiaries or from beekeepers and stockiest that are associated with us. Every batch has a serial number along with information on the beekeeper and the harvesting site. Once all of the honey has been gathered, it is moved to our warehouse, where samples are taken from each bucket to create a composite sample. After that, the material is transported to an external lab or our own lab for analysis. Regular visits to the farms are made by our quality team.
By using this method, we can maintain full honey traceability all the way up to the beekeeper or farm level and enhance the quality of field-produced food
Farm-sourced honey is assigned a distinct batch number for tracking purposes, and a composite sample, taken from every bucket, is forwarded to our in-house laboratory for analysis. To verify purity, contamination, and compliance with honey requirements (Residue monitoring plan), we do extensive chemical, heavy metal, and sugar profile testing in addition to organoleptic sensory evaluation. Test findings are used to determine if honey is accepted once it satisfies relevant quality standards
The approved honey is subsequently sent to production for processing, and batch planning is done using the customer's specifications (color, flora, F/G, etc.). Our typical lot sizes range from 20 to 40 MT, as per customer requirement
Melting chambers are used to initially turn the honey into a liquid state that is easier to handle. Harvest can handle a single lot at a time using its multiple melting chambers. To heat the honey indirectly, Hot water flows through double-jacketed chambers at the bottom. Additionally, Heated air is sent to the chambers to melt the honey and cause it to spill onto the ground. In order to preserve the qualities of honey, the temperature in the melting chamber is kept between 40 and 45 degrees Celsius
After being cleaned of any pollutants with sieve mesh filters, the honey is transferred to SS raw tanks
After passing through melting chambers, the honey is stored in 25MT capacity raw SS storage tanks. The honey is homogenized slowly using three-blade stainless steel agitators placed in the tanks. To accomplish vertical homogeneity, the honey in the raw tank is also agitated from bottom to top. Utilizing a heat exchanger and vacuum cone, the dehumidification/moisture reduction process lowers the moisture content to less than 19%. The raw honey tank is immediately passed via a vacuum cone, and a flow meter and valve are used to regulate the flow. To make sure the moisture content of the honey exiting the vacuum cone is less than 19%, it is examined. Next the honey is transferred into completed tanks, and every half an hour, the moisture content is monitored to make sure that the moisture decrease is
The honey is kept in 25MT finished tanks for settling and then packed in bulk or retail packs. The bulk packing is done by passing honey through final filter of 80 mesh sieve and using automated filling machine into 50Kg food grade plastic cans or 300Kg epoxy coated MS-drums.For retails packing, additional de-waxing and filtration is done before filling. We can pack from 20 gm to 25Kg food grade pet or glass bottles or buckets using automated filling line into, as per requirement.
After filling, the honey is kept in our warehouse until we receive the final honey report and can then be shipped out in accordance with client requests. Our warehouses maintain an ambient temperature.
